who we are

our youth group will be a place of WORSHIP…

…	where masses of youth join together in His presence and worship our Lord and Savior and experience God and not just “mouth” songs on a Sunday morning
…	where teenagers have an intimate knowledge of what it is like to be pursued by God and showered with all His love and blessings
…	where God is put first before all other things that teenagers give their attention to—whether it be school, activities, sports, friends, dating, clothes, music, etc. they will experience God even in the midst of these things.

our youth group will be a place of OUTREACH…

…	where God’s love and grace inspire teenagers to love the lost, bless the poor, win over the un-churched, care for orphans and widows, and help the homeless in practical and powerful ways
…	where teenagers are busting at the seams with excitement of following Jesus that they eagerly desire to share the Good News to their friends and classmates
…	where the magnetism of Jesus is so powerful that multitudes of teenagers are drawn into His presence amongst the group.

…	where each teenager genuinely cares for one another
…	where there is always a caring and compassionate youth leader available whenever a teenager needs someone to talk to—whether it is to express sadness and concern or to share in celebration and accomplishment
…	where youth and parents are reconciled into healthy and godly ways of relating with one another
…	where teenagers can be real in a safe and loving environment
…	where the sounds of laughter can be heard loudly because it is such a fun place to be a teenager.

…	where teenagers discover their identity in Christ Jesus, uncover their God-given gifts and abilities, and pursue their God-given passions
…	where youth leaders and parents partner together as an extension of the Church family in order to raise mature and responsible teenagers
…	where teenagers are equipped and empowered as saints—as members of the body of Christ who have an equal voice in and can make valuable contributions to the Church body and community.

high school (grades 9-12)

We are a community of High School aged youth and adults committed to experiencing the reality of Jesus and growing closer to Him by encouraging one another's walk, praying, studying scripture, and having fun together.

junior high (grades 6-8)

The junior high years are more than just a transition time between being a kid and growing into a young adult. We encourage junior high students to seek God, especially in these times where they are in desperate need of truth, hope, life, and love. To see a young person find truth and grace in Jesus is our hope and delight. Jesus is the perfect model of wild and crazy faith for junior high students to follow.

youth worship

We have a team of youth who have a heart for worship and for leading their peers into worshipping God. Gifted adult leaders help train, support, and guide our young worship leaders. We have youth worship (WO) every fourth Sunday of the month in room M2 starting right at 11am. Come by and check us out!

what do we do?

Sunday Service Our primary goal is to ensure that our youth receive a solid understanding and teaching of the Holy Bible in a practical way that meets their needs during these teen years. Classes include fun activities, lessons that follow a set teaching curriculum, and time for prayer for one another. Jr. High and High School also gather together for a Youth worship service on the first Sunday of the month.

Servant Evangelism and Other Ministries We are constantly involving ourselves in our church's various ministries, as well as doing our own projects. You will also often find our group helping out with service organizations in the local community. For example, every five weeks the Vineyard youth partner with Urban Ministry of Palo Alto’s Breaking Bread Hot Meals program by preparing and serving meals to the homeless community in Palo Alto.

Missions Each year we participate in a short-term summer mission trip. We want to equip the youth with the tools to minister to other cultures, share the gospel and serve the poor.

Activities & Events We love to have fun together. Whether it's a ski trip, river-rafting, Christian concerts, movie nights, and beach trips, we want to provide a place where the youth can get to know one another, have fun, and bring their friends.

Small Group During the school year our High School small group meets twice a month for fellowship, teaching, and prayer. The Junior High group also holds various Bible studies and small group functions throughout the year. Please call the church office for more information.
