The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of the
Peninsula hosts two Sunday morning services. In both services, Children's
Programs are available for infants and preschoolers. For elementary-age
kids up to fifth-grade and Senior and Middle School students, they
meet only during the second service. There is also an area for mothers
and infants available with piped-in sound from the service.
Our services include a teaching about scripture,
opportunities for worship and personal and corporate prayer. You
can listen to our teaching online by visiting the sermons
page. See below for directions to the services.
what to expect
What you can expect at the Vineyard on
Sunday morning.
Worship:
Our band leads us in a call to worship at the beginning of the service
and the leads worship for another twenty-five minutes after the
teaching. We encourage you to express yourself to God in a way that
is comfortable to you: you may see people dance, raise their hands,
or kneel. It's okay to sit, too!
Break:
We'll take a short break after our announcements which occurs after
the call to worship. This is a time you can meet someone new and
get a cup of coffee or tea. It's okay to bring food into the auditorium.
Offering:
We'll collect an offering during annoucements. If you're visiting,
please don't feel obligated to contribute.
Teaching:
We'll take about a half-hour to look into God's word and ask how
it applies to our lives. Bibles are available on a table near the
entrance if you don't have one of your own.
Prayer Time:
At the end of our service, we set aside time when anyone can receive
prayer. We have people trained to listen and pray (and to keep your
needs in confidence).
Children:
We have an infant/toddler nursery during both services. Activities
and classes for kids up to 5th grade are available during second
service only. Elementary-age kids stay with us during the call to
worship and then are excused to join their teachers in the courtyard
just outside auditorium.
Youth:
Our High School and Jr. High youth meet only during the 11:00 a.m.
service. Youth will meet in the main Auditorium until they are dismissed
to their small groups. There is no Youth Group on the first Sunday
of the month and therefore are invited to stay in the main service
with their family. On the fourth Sunday of the month, the youth
meet at 11:00a.m. in room M2 at Cubberley for youth worship.
