All of the facilities ministries are critical to the smooth operation
of the Sunday church service. There are opportunities to serve God
and the church before, during, and after the Sunday service every
week. Each one is a ministry for those with a heart to serve the
church in a practical, hands-on manner.
facility set-up/tear-down
These teams work to “set the stage” for the Sunday
church service. We strive to make sure everybody has a pleasing
environment where they can focus on meeting with God. You can help
every other week by setting up the church and Sunday school rooms
(e.g., tables, chairs, equipment, etc.) to prepare for Sunday service.
Different teams break down the set up and return the facility to
its usual state. There are opportunities to become a part of one
of the two set-up teams or one of the two tear-down teams. This
is a ministry for those with a heart to serve the church in a practical,
hands-on manner. Though set-up and tear-down are not as visible
as other ministries, without them the Sunday experience would be
very different.

overheads
This ministry supports our Sunday morning services using presentation
tools to enhance the Sunday experience. Our visual tools support
the worship and announcement portions of the morning. Opportunities
to serve in this ministry are in organizing, programming and projecting
worship songs, images, and announcements. The commitment is about
once a month.

sound mixing
The Sound Mixing ministry provides technical
and artistic support each Sunday for the Worship ministry, to perform
the live mix, record the teaching, and play background music between
services. We work closely with the Sound Set-up/Tear-down Ministry,
Worship leader, and Duplication ministry. Team members must have
experience as a musician or with sound mixing (live or studio).
This ministry requires confidence with technology, and the ability
to work closely and cooperatively with others.
One of our goals is to
reproduce faithfully and reinforce the musical style or mood expressed
by the Worship team. To that end, as in Psalm 33:3, we strive to
'play' skillfully our instrument (the mixing console) as joyful
praise and worship to the Lord. We do this in a way that does not
distract, or bring attention to the instrument or the player, but
allows the Worship team and congregation to focus on worshipping
the Lord.

sound set-up/tear-down
Because our church facility is rented,
sound equipment must be set-up and taken down each Sunday. In this
ministry, you would be trained in the proper handling, set-up, tear-down,
and storage of sound equipment. The teams work every other Sunday
and at special church-wide events.
