Extreme Parenting
Vineyard's Extreme Parenting group is getting together for dessert,
sharing and praying on Wednesday, May 14 and Tuesday, June 24, at
7:45pm in the church office. Our children have a variety of special
needs such as autism, learning disabilities, and physical issues.
Although they have different needs, we find areas of overlap and
ways to support each other. If you're dealing with extreme parenthood,
please come and join us.
Summer Camp at
Mount Hermon
Interested in a get-away in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains?
A group of families from VCFP annually attend the Family Camp at
Mount Hermon on Labor Day Weekend. We would love for you to consider
joining us this year on Friday, August 29 through Monday, September
1. This is a long weekend of great teaching, exciting programs for
the kids, and fun for all. You can get registration information
by calling Mount Hermon Center directly, 888-MHCAMPS. Discounts
may be available for first-time campers. Contact the church office
to inquire about discounts and with questions.
Do You Like Books?!
Do you enjoy reading Christian books? We are looking for a volunteer
to serve in the library one Sunday a month. Do you enjoy children
and books? Would you like to make a positive Christian influence
in our children's lives? We are looking for a Children's Resource
Leader to head up the children's section of the VCFP Library. You
would connect with parents and teachers to discover resources and
work closely with Anghelika Maddalena, Children's Ministries Pastor
to review and select children's books and DVD for the VCFP Library.
This role would not be required to work in the library on Sundays.
Open Worship Nights
Join the Dance Ministry during spring as they worship God through
dance. Come to all the evenings or come when you can! No experience
necessary–just a heart for worship. Meetings are on Monday
nights, through May 19, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Zohar Dance Studio
on the Cubberley campus (next to Piazza's).
Signs&Wonders
Conference
The Vineyard Church of Scotts Valley invites you to the Signs &
Wonders Conference: Doing the Ministry of Jesus on Friday, May 16
to Saturday, May 17. You will be given encouraging teachings about
the ministry of Jesus and be challenged to actively participate
in practical hands on ministry training. Don Williams, a dynamic
source of wisdom and insight regarding theology and practice of
kingdom ministry throughout the Vineyard movement since the beginning,
will be the main speaker. Several workshops will be offered: Emotional
Healing, Praying for the Sick, Worship Team Dynamics, Church Planting
and Breaking Bondages. Scott Underwood will lead worship. For more
information visit http://kingdomcomes.wordpress.com/.
